# Add Custom Revenue

Add custom revenue to Bloom by connecting a Google Sheet. Bloom creates the sheet, syncs entries by date, and updates your dashboard automatically

### What is Custom Revenue?

Custom Revenue is a setting on Bloom's Revenue page that lets you bring revenue from outside your store (ads, offline sales, wholesale, and other sources) into your Bloom dashboard through a Google Sheet. Bloom creates one dedicated Google Sheet for you in Google Drive, and syncs every revenue entry you add to that sheet, matched by date, into your dashboard. It is for merchants who want a single view of total revenue in Bloom without uploading files or maintaining a custom integration.

### How it works

Bloom generates one Google Sheet in your connected Drive with a pre-built template. You don’t have to upload or select your own sheet. Each row you add represents one revenue entry, and Bloom reads those rows in sync.

#### The dedicated Google Sheet

Bloom creates and owns the sheet structure. You can rename the file, but the column headers must stay unchanged, because Bloom uses them to read and sync your data correctly.

#### Sync by date

Bloom syncs revenue entries into your dashboard based on the date in each row. Rows missing a date, gross revenue, or net revenue value may not sync.

#### Status tracking

Each row has a status field that Bloom updates automatically once the row has been successfully synced. You do not edit this column manually.

### Data available

Google Sheet template columns

<table data-header-hidden data-search="false"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Column</strong></td><td><strong>Field Name</strong></td><td><strong>Description</strong></td></tr><tr><td>A</td><td>gross_revenue</td><td>Required. The gross revenue amount for the entry</td></tr><tr><td>B</td><td>net_revenue</td><td>Required. The net revenue amount for the entry.</td></tr><tr><td>C</td><td>date</td><td>Required. The date for the revenue entry, in yyyy-mm-dd format.</td></tr><tr><td>D</td><td>description</td><td>Required. A short description of the revenue source</td></tr><tr><td>E</td><td>platform</td><td>Required. The platform or source of the revenue (for example: ads, offline, wholesale)</td></tr><tr><td>F</td><td>status</td><td>System-generated. Shows whether the row has been synced to Bloom. Do not edit manually.</td></tr></tbody></table>

### How to Use it

1. Go to App settings > Custom Revenue.
2. Click **Link Google Sheet** to connect your Google Drive. This authorizes Bloom to create one Google Sheet in your Drive.

3. Enter a file name when prompted, then click \*\*Save and edit\*\* to open the sheet.

4. Add your revenue entries as rows in the generated template. Fill in gross\_revenue, net\_revenue, date, description, and platform for each row. Leave the status column alone.

5. Return to the Revenue page in Bloom and click \*\*Edit Google Sheet\*\*. A pop-up will appear showing your connected sheet.
6. Click Sync data. Bloom will read all rows in the sheet and update your dashboard. The sync usually completes within a few minutes.

7. Confirm each row's sync status in the status column of the Google Sheet, which Bloom updates automatically once the data has been synced.

8. To add more revenue later, add new rows in the Google Sheet and click **Sync data** in Bloom whenever you want the latest entries to appear on your dashboard.

#### Notes & Tips

* Do not change column headers in the Google Sheet. Bloom uses them to read and sync your data correctly.
* Make sure every row has a date and gross and net revenue values. Incomplete rows may not sync.
* The status column is updated automatically by Bloom. Avoid editing it manually.
