# Customer Metrics

Track new vs repeat customer spend, 60-day revenue and profit LTV, and LTV/CAC ratios to see if Shopify acquisition is actually profitable.

### What is Customer Metrics?

Customer Metrics is a section of the My Metrics grid in Bloom that separates New Customers from Repeat Customers and measures what each group spends and returns in profit. It includes 60-day Revenue and Profit LTV windows and LTV/CAC efficiency ratios. It is built for merchants evaluating whether new customer acquisition is actually profitable (not just revenue-generating) and for growth and retention teams tracking the balance of new vs. repeat customer contribution.

### How it Works

Customer Metrics classifies every customer as either new or repeat, then calculates spend, revenue, AOV, and LTV for each group separately. Profit LTV and Revenue LTV are measured over a fixed 60-day window from a customer's first purchase, and paired with CAC (sourced from Marketing Metrics) to produce efficiency ratios.

**New Customers**

First-time buyers. Their orders feed New Customer Revenue, New Customer AOV, New Customers %, and both 60-day LTV metrics.

**Repeat Customers**

Customers whose order history reflects two or more orders. Their orders feed Repeat Customer Revenue, Repeat Customer AOV, and Repeat Customer %.

**How the 60-day LTV window is calculated**

60-day Revenue LTV and 60-day Profit LTV both measure the average value generated per new customer over 60 days from their first purchase, including any additional orders within that window. Profit LTV subtracts associated COGS from revenue. For accurate values, the selected date range must be at least 60 days before today so the full 60-day purchase window is captured.
