Product Ads
What are Product Ads?
Product Ads helps you understand how advertising is impacting your products. Instead of looking at campaign-level metrics alone, Product Ads provides a product-focused view of your advertising performance, making it easier to see where your marketing efforts are creating value and where opportunities for improvement may exist.
By bringing product and advertising data together, Product Ads helps you evaluate the effectiveness of your advertising strategy at a more meaningful level. This allows you to make more informed decisions about where to invest, optimise, or reassess your advertising efforts.
Whether you're looking to identify products that are responding well to advertising, discover opportunities to increase visibility, or review products that may need further attention, Product Ads provides a clear and organised view of your advertising performance.
Product Categories
Each product is automatically assigned to a category based on its advertising performance. These categories are designed to help you quickly understand how advertising is contributing to the success of your products.

Profit Maker
Profit Makers are products that are performing strongly from an advertising perspective. These products are often among the most successful at turning advertising efforts into business results. They may represent opportunities for further growth and investment.
Margin Trap
Margin Trap products may appear to be performing well at first glance, but could benefit from closer review. These products highlight opportunities to better understand the relationship between advertising performance and overall business outcomes.
Budget Drain
Budget Drain products may require optimisation or reassessment. These products indicate areas where advertising performance could potentially be improved. Reviewing these products can help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and allocate resources more effectively.
Money Pit
Money Pit products require additional investigation before further investment. These products may benefit from a review of advertising strategy, creative assets, targeting, or overall product positioning.
Hidden Gem
Hidden Gems are products that show strong potential but may not currently receive significant advertising attention. These products can represent valuable growth opportunities and may benefit from increased visibility.
Dead Weight
Dead Weight products currently contribute limited value from an advertising perspective. These products may be worth reviewing to determine whether changes can improve performance or whether resources could be allocated elsewhere.
Dashboard Features
The Product Ads dashboard provides several tools to help you better understand advertising outcomes across your product catalogue.
Summary Cards: Summary cards provide a quick overview of how products are distributed across advertising categories. This allows you to immediately understand the overall health and composition of your advertising efforts.

Ad Distribution: The Ad Distribution chart provides a visual breakdown of products across categories, making it easy to identify patterns and trends within your advertising performance.

Ad spend by category: Advertising analysis helps you understand how advertising activity is distributed across different groups of products. This provides additional context when evaluating performance and identifying opportunities.

Ad Spend vs Contribution Margin: This bubble chart compares advertising spend against contribution margin for individual products. Bubble size represents units sold, helping you evaluate whether advertising investment is generating meaningful business outcomes and identify products that may require optimisation.

Category Visibility Controls: Category filters allow you to include or exclude specific advertising categories from visualisations. This helps you focus on the product groups most relevant to your analysis.
Hide Outliers: Hide Outliers allows unusually large or small values to be removed from visualisations temporarily. This can improve chart readability and make overall advertising performance trends easier to identify.
Product Ads Table: The Product Ads table provides a detailed view of individual products and their advertising-related metrics. You can search for specific products, apply filters, compare performance, and explore data in greater detail.

Export Functionality: Export product data for further analysis, reporting, or collaboration. Tables can be downloaded in both Excel (.xlsx) and CSV (.csv) formats, making it easy to work with the data outside Bloom.
Ad Settings
Product Ads classifications can be customised through Ad Settings, allowing you to define the criteria used to evaluate advertising performance.
Target ROAS: Defines the minimum Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) required for a product to meet your advertising goals. Products that meet or exceed this threshold are considered to be performing effectively.
Hidden Gem Margin Floor: Defines the minimum gross margin required for a product to qualify as a Hidden Gem, ensuring products are both profitable and have strong advertising potential.
By adjusting these settings, you can align Product Ads classifications with your advertising strategy and profitability goals.
This version is more concise while maintaining the same meaning and tone as the rest of your documentation.
